LEOPOLDO PARADELA

AMOR VINCIT OMNIA

Poetry has been a celebrated form of eloquent expression for millennia. It has existed in ancient civilizations and passed on through generations in a written, oral, and recited manner. Through poetry, many sublime ideas and messages are exposed, and offered by the poet to his readers and audience. Poetry can also contain intense ideas, which might not reverberate equally had they been presented in prose form. Hence, it presents a deeper, more multi-dimensional message that makes its reader analyze life at a more profound level.
This is what I have tried to accomplish through this book Hearts and Souls, a first collection of my poems, through which. I reflect on love, theology, philosophy, humanity, and spirituality.

The book comes in two parts. The first exposes a myriad of love poems from various hearts whose passion and suffering become quite evident through its verse. The second is composed of age old and very deeply spiritual quests and doubts that have inundated human beings since time immemorial. These quests can be very profoundly moving and one has to search and reflect courageously and honestly, on moral, ethical, spiritual and soul issues without being dogmatically inclined or didactically influenced.

Accept from me, my dear readers, this volume which in an intense effort of love, I expose the hearts and souls of many people who all essentially have come to represent a metamorphosis of the same inescapable multi-dimensional human experience throughout its existence while dealing with love spirituality, pleasure, suffering, conscience, intellect, and passion.
